چکیده
BackgroundThe morbidity and mortality remain relatively high for transthoracic esophagectomy with open thoracotomy. We compared a total laparoscopic thoracoscopic minimally invasive Ivor Lewis (M-ILE) cohort propensity score–weighted of (O-ILE) cases.MethodsThis is retrospective review 259 patients diagnosed esophageal carcinoma who underwent M-ILE (n = 173) or O-ILE 86) from April 2009 to March 2019. The postoperative were reported each group. Inverse probability treatment weighting (IPTW) adjustment was used balance the baseline characteristics between study groups. Outcomes After Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy :
Background—Esophagectomy is a complex operation and is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. In an attempt to lower morbidity, we have adopted a minimally invasive approach to esophagectomy. Objectives—Our primary objective was to evaluate the outcomes of minimally invasive esophagectomy (MIE) in a large group of patients. Our secondary objective was to compare the modified McKeo...
متن کاملComparison the Outcomes of Open Thoracotomy and Minimally Invasive Thoracoscopic Esophagectomy in Esophageal Cancer
Introduction: Surgery is the first therapeutic option for esophageal cancer. There is controversy over the selection of the best surgical approach. Regarding this, the present study aimed to compare the minimally invasive and open esophagectomy in terms of their short-term outcomes and preoperative complications. Materials & Methods: This randomized clinical trial was conducted on 61 patients i...

Objective: Minimal Invasive Esophagectomy (MIE) has become the main radical treatment for esophageal cancer. However, there are still many controversies on MIE. This paper compared the shortterm therapeutic efficacy between minimally invasive Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy and McKeown esophagectomy for esophageal cancer. Methods: The clinical data of patients with esophageal cancer treated by MIE fro...

متن کاملComparison of perioperative outcomes following open versus minimally invasive Ivor Lewis oesophagectomy at a single, high-volume centre.
OBJECTIVES With the increasing popularity of minimally invasive oesophageal resections, equivalence, if not superiority, to open techniques must be demonstrated. Here we compare our open and minimally invasive Ivor Lewis oesophagectomy (MIE) experience. METHODS A prospective database of all oesophagectomies performed at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA between November 2007 and Ja...
